Updated Nov 1, 2026. Review written Nov 1, 2026 from the project's own sources; usage data refreshed every Monday.

TL;DR

CC Switch is a desktop manager for AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and Kimi Code. It is for developers who use several of these tools and want to switch API providers in one click instead of hand-editing JSON, TOML, or YAML config files. It also syncs MCP, Skills, and prompts, and it tracks sessions and usage.

What CC Switch does

  • CC Switch switches API providers for supported coding tools in one click, without hand-editing JSON, TOML, or YAML config files.
  • CC Switch manages MCP servers, Skills, and prompts in one place and syncs them to supported apps.
  • CC Switch supports Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok Build, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Pi, MiniMax Code, Kimi Code, Antigravity, Oh My Pi, and DeepSeek Harness.
  • CC Switch provides local routing, session browsing, and usage statistics for the tools it manages.
  • CC Switch can switch between multiple official Claude subscription accounts for Claude Code and show each account's plan and remaining quota.
  • CC Switch can install, upgrade, and uninstall supported apps such as Kimi Code, Oh My Pi, and DeepSeek Harness from its Apps page.
  • CC Switch can open a terminal from a provider card, with options to skip permission confirmation and append launch arguments.

How it works

CC Switch is a desktop app built with Tauri, Rust, and TypeScript. CC Switch writes provider settings into each tool's own config files and syncs MCP, Skills, and prompts to them. An authorization center handles account logins. For Claude accounts, the login uses Claude Code's official flow, and tokens stay in the local Claude Code. CC Switch also offers local routing to OpenAI-format and Gemini upstreams.

How to install and start using CC Switch

Requirements

  • CC Switch runs on desktop operating systems, and its release notes cover Windows, macOS, Linux, and WSL.

Who CC Switch is for

  • Developers who use several AI coding CLIs and switch between API providers often.
  • Developers who want MCP, Skills, and prompts kept in sync across Claude Code, Codex, and similar tools.
  • Claude Code users who juggle multiple official subscription accounts.
